ABOUT THAT NAZI REFERENCE IN THE RELEASED UFO DOCUMENTS

You may have heard that there was a brief - but very intriguing and provocative - reference to the Nazis in the recently released tranche of UFO documents that are all part of the narrative preparation operation some have dubbed as operation disclosure. Readers of this website who've been following me for a long time know I am as skeptical of "disclosure" as I am dispensensationalism's predictions of the Second Coming. They are, after all, both "eschatological events." This version of the documents was shared by C.M. We are very grateful for it, because this is an important story even though it won't make the See BS evening news:

DoW Release 4: Scientists at a 1949 Los Alamos Aerial Phenomena Conference mention "German Stations in Space"

If one scrolls down to page tewnty of the document, which is reproduced in the article, one sees this:

What interests us is, of course, the section of the document outlined in the red box, which reads:

"Mr. Newberger: Were the Germans experimenting in any phase that was possibly connected with it?"

The "it" being referred to are the "green fireballs" being seen and reported by people, across the country. The answer to this question by Manhattan Project scientist Dr. Lincoln LaPaz is a humdinger:

"Dr. LaPaz: Well, they had the so-called stations in space ..... might have some attachment to it." (Emphasis added)

Needless to say, this little statement is a stunner, and requires some careful unpacking.  Dr. LaPaz's diction is ambiguous, perhaps deliberately so. He refers to the "so-called stations in space" as a past phenomenon, either indicating that they were a reality, or at least, a real concept. Indeed, this author and many other authors have referred to wild and fanciful Nazi projects for placing giant space mirrors in orbit around the planet, and using sunlight to focus tremendous light on the planet surface. On the much-less-fanciful side, prior to the war, German physicist Walter Gerlach - subsequent "head" both of the Nazi atom bomb project (according to some accounts), and definitely involved in the Nazi Bell project, was in correspondence with the Austrian physicists Lense and Thirring, and the subject of their discussions was precisely the frame dragging effects that the Earth's rotation would have on satellites in orbit around the planet. Why were these three eminent physicists discussing such a thing? Certainly it's the sort of "entertainment" and speculative problem that scientists in their spare time might talk about, doing back-of-the-dinner-napkin calculations... or with the war looming in just a short time, it might have had a more sinister purpose. What obscure sources there are on this exchange go no further than just to mention its occurrence.

In any case, Dr. LaPaz's statement raises another possibility, and here we must pause to note that according to the header of the first page of the documents, Dr. LaPaz is making these statements at a discussion meeting held at Los Alamos at 1PM mountain standard time, on February 16, 1949.  Again, the year is significant, for two years prior in June would be the occasion for the famous Kenneth Arnold UFO sightings of "flying wings" near Mount Ranier in Washington, and of course, later in July of 1947, the occasion of the famous Roswell Incident, about which even Senator Joseph McCarthy went fishing in 1952, and came afoul of the US Army which purposed to end the senator's career, which they did in the Army-McCarthy hearings. "Wait a minute, Dr. Farrell, are you saying that the real purpose of the Army-McCarthy hearings was UFO-related?"  I am, and I covered that theory at length in my book McCarthy, Monmouth, and the Deep State (available on Lulu). The actual transcripts of McCarthy's committee hearings were only declassified in 2003 when the Senate's Government Operations Committee - the committee chaired by Senator McCarthy - finally declassified the transcripts under its then-sitting chairman Senator Joseph Lieberman of Connecticut. The transcripts make stunning reading with their constant allusion, not to Communists in the government, but to highly secret radar experiments, UFOS and Roswell, financial misdealing, and missing UFO documents. There is even a reference to Project Bluebook, the US Air Force's public relations program for UFOs. And it is important to remember that at the time Senator McCarthy was probing the operations of the radar laboratories at Fort Monmouth, New Jersey in 1952, the U.S. capitol at Washington DC had one of the most famous UFO flaps in history, with UFOs appearing on radar screens throughout the Washington region, and US Air Force giving ineffective chase of the objects, and a nervous Air Force General subsequently giving a nervous press conference trying to reassure the nation.  It therefore strains credulity to think that Senator McCarthy would not have known of the flap, nor that it did not play any role in the line of questioning he exhibited in the Monmouth hearings.

So back to Dr. LaPaz: note that the discussion meeting is taking placetwo years after the "Roswell Year" of 1947, with the famous UFO incidents to follow later that year. In other words, this is a few years before the first publicly-known launch of an artificial man-made satellite into orbit with Sputnik in October 1957. And thus, if one interprets Dr. LaPaz's ambiguous diction as referring to real satellites in 1949, then an inevitable question occurs: whose  could they possibly be? Who saw them? and perhaps most importantly, How long were they under observation? Is Dr. LaPaz's comment about them being possibly German a bit of midirection? or is he reflecting the then-current thinking inside the military-intelligence-national security community? If the objects were real, and not German, then they must have been someone else's, and that raises more obvious questions: Whose were they, and were "they" on this planet (perhaps deep in the oceans), or off planet?

The bottom line here is that the two short statements are stunners, for amid the talk about "green fireballs" a famous scientist is concluding they might be connected to the phenomenon of satellites, which have not yet been "invented" according to the public narrative. And if they're real and not merely fanciful Nazi paper projects from the wild imaginings of someone in the Kammlerstab, then they belonged to someone.

And there the documents leave things, raising more questions than they answer.
