WHAT’S REALLY GOING ON WITH ASTEROID DEFENSE?

You may remember that about a month prior to the Chelyabinsk meteor incident of February 2013, then Russian Prime Minister (and current Russian security council member) Dmitri Medvedev went on national television in his country to answer questions about UFOs, asteroids, and planetary defense. Medvedev's appearance was provocative, because he maintained that the planet was in urgent need of a planetary defense system against asteroids, and that it would take "international cooperation" to build such a system. Failing that, he went on to say, Russia would just have to build out its own system. At this juncture, the interviewer, a pretty Russian lady, asked how Russia would be able to defend the planet against a rogue asteroid strike. Medvedev replied that Russia could use its many intercontinental ballistic missiles and thermonuclear warheads. He then volunteered that Russia had "other methods" it could use. When queried about those "other methods", Mr. Medvedev smiled like a cheshire cat, and the interview was over. A month later, the Chelyabinsk incident occurred, captured on video by several Russian automobile cameras. Some of these videos showed a "something" trailing the  meteor until it exploded, the "something" no longer to be seen.

The whole episode, I thought then, and still think now, was a little too convenient, as if designed to underscore Medvedev's statements.

Enter China, which now seems to be picking up where Mr. Medvedev left off, by beginning the process of building out and testing its own system of planetary meteor and asteroid defense (story shared courtesy of S.D., whom we thank for taking the time to share it with us):

Now, if you're paying attention, this means that the world's big three space powers, the USA, Russia, and China, are each building out their own independent separate asteroid defense systems, a far cry from the international cooperation in building such a system that Mr. Medvedev envisioned back in 2013. One can easily imagine that it will not be long before Japan, India, and Europe complete the picture, and add their own prototypical systems to the list.

What this would mean is, effectively, that the world will have built Mr. Medvedev's system of planetary defense, with six layers of redundancy, with each layer of redundancy having been built by one of the space powers, and under its independent control.

This is where it gets complicated. Imagine a situation in which an asteroid was predicted to smash into the Earth, and it was estimated that it might impact in India. Indian efforts to use their defense system against that asteroid have failed, leaving the only other regional power with such a system - China - to do so. But China, for whatever reason, refuses to do so, allowing the asteroid to impact India, doing that country serious if not mortal damage.  Failure to act in such a circumstance would be an act of war. Thus, one may imagine - if my reading of what is happening with asteroid defense is true and accurate - that planetary defense systems will inevitably result in additions to international law on what constitutes an act of war; failure to act when one possesses the means to do so can be interpreted as an act of war. If one starts to see these types of considerations entering into international law and peace treaties (and expecially, into those bi-lateral currency transaction agreements), then we can reasonably assume that the technologies and weapons of asteroid defense have made greater progress than is publicly acknowledged in the news.

This leads to a second, much more important and profound question. Thus far, there is only one nation that has conducted active asteroid defense tests, and that is the USA. If one counts the peculiarities of the Chelyabinsk meteor event as a Russian test (someone clearly interferred with that meteor) then the nations number only two. If China conducts its hyper-sonic missile test against an asteroid, that will be three. But all this poses that more important, and profound question, a question that also turns out to be one of those obvious things that one does not notice until it's pointed out: life on this planet has survived for millions of years. There are asteroid and meteor impacts on it every day. Most of them are so small and harmless that no one notices. Occasionally a rock from space might fall through the roof of a house, and make the evening news. The last major asteroid impact that was an earth-altering event was the assumed impact that caused the KT boundary 65,000,000 years ago.  My point is, such events are rarities.

So why the sudden seeming "urgency"? Of course, it could simply be a case of "better safe than sorry".  But as I'm looking at the development, it looks and "feels" different. "They" know something, or suspect something, and that something might be the dangers of a planetary bombardment. Might "they" have seen something, some long range threat, through their telescopes that they're not telling? Possibly. Indeed, that's my high octane speculation of the day, after reading about these Chinese plans. Their approach is similar to Mr. Medvedev's remarks those thirteen years ago, and similar to the USA's more recent DART test. That makes Mr. Medvedev's remarks about "other methods" even more intriguing.

These are not mere idle speculations either, for remember Morris Jessup's UFO classic, The Case for the UFO. Jessup received a copy of his own book in the mail from one Carlos Miguel Allende, who also "admitted" to being  one of the sailors who saw the alleged Philadelphia Experiment. But that does not concern us here. What concerns us are Allende's annotations in the margins of Jessup's book, for these alluded to an ancient cosmic war, and to the "great bombardment" of planets - including this one - with asteroids.  A copy of this book with its annotations was prepared by the US Navy after Jessup brought it to their attention. And as I have detailed in my book Secrets of the Unified Field, a copy of that very book very probably made it into the hands of one Dr. Wehrner von Braun.

With all the UFO "disclosure" being advocated by government "whistle blowers" lately, I think it is only a matter of time before "asteroid defense" will be coupled to the idea of a defense against "potential bombardment". There's a reason for the sudden "quiet urgency" about the matter, and I do not think the urgency is solely due to asteroids...
