I don’t think Pope Leo is one of the bad guys. The excommunication of the SSPX is not an attack on the traditional mass. This is a complete misreading of the situation. The SSPX has itself decided to break away from Rome by ordaining their own bishops without the consent of Rome.
The Latin mass is still strong in the Catholic Church. The SSPX is but a small minority of all traditional Catholics. They’re also in dialogue with Rome as we speak. They’ll hopefully find a solution.
The real problem we have as Latin Mass attendees are the current modernist boomer bishops. Most of them are clearly in a state of apostasy and actively impede or fight their traditional communities. The Vatican IS NOT the problem currently. They seem to be on our side, seeking solutions.
Leo at the end if the day is a scholar and professor. He’ll dissect the problems as an outsider (he doesn’t come from a traditional background and the Latin movement has never been strong in Latin America), and he’ll make a pronouncement soon. Hopefully it brings peace to the Church and heals her division.

I believe that your speculation is on beam, and that we will see initially pronouncements, perhaps followed by warnings and thereafter “policing” actions. Can the Vatican raise arrest warrants across Italy, EU or the Americas for instance? Actionable within Vatican jurisprudence some how?
It will be most interesting to observe the point you make regarding the Latin Mass, since the Jubilee Mass 2025 celebrated and accompanied by Gregorian chant., will this cause any baulking at repression of Latin Mass and mass worshipers? As with any mafia, sentimentality is always tinged and tempered by “its not personal, it’s just business” type of approach and attitude. so perhaps baulking will be limited or even perfunctory. However, this may indicate that political powers inimical to Vatican positions or strictures may be coming into the crosshairs of 21st Century tech given the powers now available to be deployed online , in banking and especially when digital id/tokens are in play. Sanctioning becomes more readily accessible, invisible and operable as silent weapons for quiet wars. Not forgetting that the Swiss Guard (with their occulted progenitors) are still very much in play already, so your speculation points to a widening geographically and a deepening organisationally, enabling the reach of the Vatican’s policing actions/ sanctions.

there appears to a typo at the 4min45s mark regarding the year 1384 at the year for the death of the last Grand Master of the order. Pope Clement V and King Philippe IV Lebel did die in 1314.
