Nuclear warheads are highly destructive, as are the Rods of God weapons. But folks what about 30k, 40k 45k year-old viruses found deep in Siberian lakes? Does anyone have an answer for that?

    1. Karaganov is just trying to kiss asses of the Russian warmonger’s fraction and their chief Pu.
    2. Karaganov, a true Russian alcoholic, and allegedly a person of non-traditional orientation (just like Pu) could not possibly care about the “true family values”.
    3. Karaganov’s writings are aimed at the ultimately naive Westerners.
    4. Dear Dr. Farrell, the West has been ignoring Russian behavior towards Chechnya, Georgia and Ukraine the same way it was ignoring and supporting Hitler until it was too late.

In one’s view, the sane individual, people, of [they; WE, the sovereign citizenry] are dealing with hegemonic global thuggery, with a lot of blame to distribute at any one time and should remain apart – not in support of that psychopathology.

The builders of the Potemkin, with their excuses for infiltration, need to pick up their weapons of neighborly oppression and aggression & go back across sovereign border. Completely. Showing the next maniacal hegemonic gangster how it’s done. To include they who would be proxy, as well as how to save face amongst their remaining and supporting, if not misguided, follow citizens.

Diplomatic bluster has run its course to no avail as if to disturb every hornet’s nest in its wake. The propagandized addiction suffered by the aggressor requires reduction and treatment toward eradication with no loose ends tethered to complacency. The fool’s self-satisfied dignity, no matter the poker-face shown before camera, ends in failure having tampered with another’s liberty and right to self-determination as a people. They must take their leave from the present path of destruction in haste, stop loitering abroad where their cover is no longer, and tread not again.

It is as if a multiplayer board not for one or two or small groups of despots with radically opposing ideologies by assertion on a whim to loot or swindle for self-serving interests with few minions along for the looting.

Secondly, it’s not a game of word thrashing to impress the bewildered using lengthy, linear, and imprecise languages as they trend toward furthering the conundrum of talk into a word wrestling match of no winners, only whiners. Especially, behind presumptively safe walls & doors.

Do those in any asserted power position really believe they fool the majority? It is better to know that they do not!

The one on this side of the monitor understands the limits of the singular and where boundaries are meaningful. Those who practice taking liberties have a learning curve approaching.

I may jump around with my thoughts here so try to be understanding. Different viewpoints this YT but clearly a western slant. Maybe Russia will wait for a possible but highly unlikely political change in D.C. in 19 months. Russia must see the rising intensity of the conservative movement and the completely unhinged desperation of the current criminal cartel in D.C. Russia knows the West like the back of their hand and must realize the pushback against the puppet regime is not the traditional right/left dynamic but more organic. That dynamic is usually the most powerful. The fact that Americans have become increasingly weak and terrified of the federal government is the Achilles heal. Never in my life have I seen anything like this planned implosion of values currently being foisted upon us. A continuation of this globalist monstrosity in 2024 will finish, at least, the federal structure for many states that realize it is not America in the true sense anymore..Neo-Cons are simply insane and when it comes to all things Russia somehow insane gets even worse. My experience suggests a decapitation strike in the U.S. has too many negatives for Russia, nationalism is human nature. Decapitating the EU/UK power structure would call NATO’s hand and I cannot imagine America risking complete annihilation for that but I am probably wrong given the loons in control now. The perpetual Viet Nam/Afghanistan war drain on a country financially and militarily has always been a top strategy. Russia knows thet in spades. The scenarios in both articles are well thought out but it will probably be something out of the ordinary that turns it somehow. If I saw a country like the U.S.actually imprison a former POTUS that they tried to falsely frame as a Russian confederate and a threat to their implicit hatred of all things Russian, well, I would simply realize it was either me or them sooner rather than later. Always had the Solari position in the back of my mind that the U.S. is agreement incapable. May cooler heads prevail.

What’s interesting to me is how both sides have formulated the same idea.

The West believe that contemporary Russia is a product of Putin and that by removing Putin they will bend Russia to its will. Russia has concluded that the leadership of the west is insane and that the only way to solve the problem of the West is to remove the leadership of the West.

It is much more likely that both sides are wrong and that both sets of ruling elites are products of their peoples, histories, and cultures. Which means that the only real solution to this conflict, that won’t end the world or last 100 years of bloodshed, is the changing of the hearts and minds of the people on either side of the equation. And it’s very clear to me which side has the moral high ground and is in the right, and which one does not.

I would add that there is another dimension to this article Dr. Farrell. This article is also directed, not only as a message to the leadership of the West, but as an appeal to those of use who remain sane in the West. Which thankfully, is still the majority of the population. They are letting us know the consequences of remaining silent and allowing these atrocities and corrupt ideologies to deepen their hold of our societies.

Interesting observations… Both the Russian and Western leadership may be products of their respective cultures, but you can be a product of your culture and be sane, or a product of your culture and insane. You can be a product of your culture and care about preserving the territory and culture you were brought up in, or not care about those things. In the past, there have been at least some Western leaders who were not as insane, uninterested in their national traditions, and indifferent to the future of their people as the Western leaders of today are.

A good expanation of what sounds like the most sensible person i have heard from during this whole war. Its vital that we understand that continued supply of weapons an only leave russia with no alternative, the notion of regime change seems a bit western to my ears but hes probably right in its the safest option. great work once again Joseph.

Having read the whole article, I agree it’s an important one, and one that Western decision makers would do well to read carefully. I think it provides a great deal of insight into how at least one major faction of the Russian establishment (for lack of a better word) views the Ukrainian conflict and its implications.

I’ve had some personal experience with Russian and Ukrainian culture, and a lifetime of experience with Western culture. Alas, I’m confident that if this article is meant as a warning to the Western elite, then it’s doomed to fall on either deaf or uncomprehending ears. As far as the Western powers ever understanding Russia’s point of view, I believe the gulf between the Russian mindset and that of the West is too great to be bridged — at least by the warmongering nincompoops currently in charge of the West. In addition, contempt for Russia among the Western leadership is too deeply rooted in history to easily disappear. Nonetheless, I do not believe that eternal confrontation between Russia and the West is inevitable or that peaceful coexistence is somehow ontologically impossible.

I’m not sure what to make of the article’s talk of the nuclear deterrent. It’s almost as if Karaganov is saying that the right kind of nuclear strike could prevent a devastating all-out world war. I’m not sure I’d agree. It seems as if he’s assuming that the insane Western elites are capable of being shocked into sanity. If so, he may well be mistaken. If, conversely, the real message is that Russia could prevent even more carnage by surgically “removing” certain “decision-making centers,” well, that’s a different story…

    • KSW on June 16, 2023 at 9:42 am

Yes, it is a different story … I actually can’t believe it hasn’t already been done. It’s unfortunate that it may have to come to that, whether surgical or nuclear. I’m not for war or killing to solve problems, but what does it mean if I don’t necessarily object to this kind of operation if it means saving innocent citizens perhaps decades of terror. It would be nice to wake up one morning to a better world – or is that too Pollyanna?

      • FiatLux on June 16, 2023 at 7:06 pm

I also can hardly believe it hasn’t already been done. Waking up to a better world? Well, humans being imperfect, I doubt we’ll ever wake up to a world without conflict.

  14. ragiza on June 15, 2023 at 10:22 pm

There aren’t any “satans” instigating murderous pandemics and Mackinder campaigns aimed at the world island. It’s man made.

There isn’t any “god” as Mr. Karaganov refers to in the shadows watching over events, or providing wisdom or a safe path. We’re on our own.

He provides a childish strategy of “leave us alone or we’ll create an event of human extinction”.

The Russian leadership is currently following a strategy of demonstrating the impotency of a de-industrialized, self castrated West.

The force of the West is exemplified by Germany de-millitrializing itself, sabotaging its national energy situation – over an eight year period during which its democratically elected female chief executive knew that a conflict with Russia was planned.

The force of the West is exemplified by the US “deep state” cheating into office a corrupt degenerate senile puppet as its chief executive.

We’re lucky Russia has a competent patient leader, who knows all he has to do is stay strong and cool and let the West’s cancer do its work.

  15. beatthedrum on June 15, 2023 at 10:20 pm

Your analysis here Joseph is pretty much spot on IMO. Russia ‘returning’ to its eastern frontier – and hence ‘reconnecting’ with China too – is the next ‘Great Game’, akin to the logic of the western oligarchical thinking of a century ago (control of the heartland…was it Makinder who formulated that idea?), but this time with the west left behind. In the context of the current situation, such an idea is fraught with danger for all of us – especially through the actions of the idiots in charge in the West! – but, for me, it is a clear strategy that Russia must pursue. I remember reading history books at Uni back in the 70’s that referred to Russia as ‘the most western of the easterners/the most eastern of the westerners – a clear statement that from the perspective of such western historians, Russians weren’t ‘one of us’. The Russians are now clearly agreeing with that idea and may well move, with others as we are now also seeing, to create a whole new center of gravity in world geopolitics and economics, one based essentially on the same cultural values that the west hypocritically uses to describe itself, in what is nothing more than a PR exercise. 🙁
