HAVE WE REACHED “PEAK WALL STREET”? IS THERE ...
This very thought-provoking article was shared by "Mr. A.B.," who, shall we say, lives in one of those places known to be one of the world's great financial hubs. And I have to admit, I found the article not only confirming a number of my suspicions, but referencing an important article that may indicate the global financial oligarchies are doing a major "re-think" on global financial architecture. As prelude to this article, permit me to share my "suspicions". For a number of years, watching this financial circus that has been going on, more or less since just prior to the 2008 bailouts, but really (if we're honest), back to the Clinton administration, I came to the not terribly profound conclusion that there was increasing factional infighting within "the elite." As the financial crises loomed, the infighting became more visible and pronounced - if one bothered to look. To this day, there are still people, however, who insist that all this is merely theater, that the omnicompetnt Mr. Globaloney is orchestrating all this for our benefit while his nefarious schemes for world domination march inelectuably forward.
Then came this link, which is referenced in the article that Mr. A.B. sent me:
Why does financial sector growth crowd out real economic growth?
You'll note immediately that this "working paper" is the product of that most elitist and oligarchical of elitist and oligarchical institutions, the Bank of International Settlements, brainchild of yesteryear's elitists, Montagu Norman of the Bank of England, and Dr. Hjalmar Schacht of Germany's Reichsbank. Norman, and particularly Schacht, were both early versions of Mr. Globaloney, believing in the power of finance capital to create a "community of interests" that would be powerful enough to avert war. At least, that was the line Herr Schacht used in getting powerful American interests to sign off on the creation of the bank, while he also was busily helping lay the foundations for German rearmament.
One paragraph toward the very beginning of this paper says it all:
The purpose of this paper is to examine why financial sector growth harms real growth. We begin by constructing a model in which financial and real growth interact, and then turn to empirical evidence. In our model, we first show how an exogenous increase in financial sector growth can reduce total factor productivity growth. This is a consequence of the fact that financial sector growth benefits disproportionately high collateral/low productivity projects. This mechanism reflects the fact that periods of high financial sector growth of ten coincide with the strong development in sectors like construction, where returns on projects are relatively easy to pledge as collateral but productivity (growth) is relatively low. (BIS: "Why Does Financial Sector Growth Crowd out Real Economic Growth?, p. 5)
In this paper, we study the real effects of financial sector growth and come to two important conclusions. First, the growth of a country's financial system is a drag on productivity growth. That is,higher growth in the financial sector reduces real growth. In other words, financial booms are not, in general, growth-enhancing, likely because the financial sector competes with the rest of the economy for resources. Second, using sectoral data, we examine the distributional nature of this effect and find that credit booms harm what we normally think of as the engines for growth – those that are more R&D- intensive. This evidence, together with recent experience during the financial crisis, leads us to conclude that there is a pressing need to reassess the relationship of finance and real growth in modern economic systems. (Emphasis added)
Peter Phillips: We’re really happy to have you here. I’ve just finished reading your book, The American Deep State: Wall Street, Big Oil, and the Attack on U.S. DemocracyIn your new book you talk about the egalitarian mindset culture of America. We believe in the Constitution, the Bill of Rights, open government, transparency. And then you say also that there’s a dark side, or a deep side inside America that’s repressive, that is looking to be able to detain people without warrants, warrantless wire tapping and all of that – there’s a repressive side. Can you tell us a little bit more about how you frame this understanding of this culture of repression?
Peter Dale Scott: Actually, I think there’s always been a deep state in America and there have been times when it has been very repressive. We’re in a period of, you might say, surplus repression – repression that doesn’t serve anyone’s interests, not even the interests of the ruling class. (emphasis by CHS)

We haven’t reached peak notable deaths:

There was another finance related death but I can’t find the link.
Not since the days of Gerald Ford have we had such (suspiciously) klutzy politicians:

Cf. Harry Reid falling off a treadmill and now ending his senate career; Hillary breaking her elbow.

Their problem? Is making sure that the unfairness production worldwide remains at Industrial Strength, if not increasing through manufactured austerity. They put a “For Sale” sign on Planet Earth, and then bought it a “fire sale” prices with their many privately-owned currency’s printing presses & digitized, financialized, & monopolized bits/1’s & 0’s.
Their mantra: The More For Me; The Less For You.
Now enter the BRICSA with an apparently “new” script[both, at once in: protagonists/currencies.

One problem the boat left along time ago and these smash and grab boys and girls are too stupid. To reverse course anyway they were never truly civilize to begin with. Kidde magic has always been their style brawn over brains if you can’t cheat whip out the clubs, knives, fire sticks to intimidate their victims. They’re God’s or the Universe answer to every problem.
The fact that the Q/E fueled looting isn’t sustainable, is an 8th grade math level assessment. You have to remember, that one of Daddy Bush’s goals for the NWO was an US that existed w/o that pesky Middle Class and with 3rd world wages and salaries. The White Collar embracing of GAT and NAFTA was due to the fact they thought they would not get their jobs out-sourced. Well they are now replacing people in all job categories with people off the boat. It is called in-sourcing. And there is not a word of it in the MSM.
The PTB still have a monkey in a coconut conundrum.. The Slow Burn has been their friend and any deviation from that highly engineered pillaging mechanism could have serious ramifications. If something does change, it will be because, they could no longer keep the Slow Burn pillage under control.
I also believe that the PTB are losing their standing so drastically, that the real possibility that their institutions will be shunned by the masses. Case in point, are the Open Source Ecology / Open Source Hardware movements are literally starting from scratch to start anew in a sustainable fashion. Granted it is at the Model A / T level. But, it is a reaction to the continual harvesting of the old unsustainable model.
See: http://opensourceecology.org/ for more details. This is the brain child of a young PhD. Marcin Jakubowksi. He was interviewed by CAF two years ago. I waited to see if he could walk the walk. To date, their efforts have been impressive.
So, the BIS is finally acknowledging–now that the kleptocracy has effectively “bought” (read: scammed) everything worth buying with worthless fiat central bank Ponzi paper–that the earth is round, grass is green, and “finance” is a parasitic wag-the-dog racket run by and for gamblers and sociopaths that bleeds its host countries dry.
Who’da thunk?
What does this acknowledgement mean? My own gut sentiment is less sanguine. I fear that this is signalling that the Great Reset is about to be unleashed, so that they can sweep up the remaining scraps and lock down everything. That is why there is all that “surplus” repression lying about–it just hasn’t been fully needed, yet.
If the creation of matter out of nothing can be accomplished with some ease–basically what some of the ORMUS types are reporting–and that matter creation can be controlled and directed, conventional machine tools become less and less valuable. (A reverse of this process has already been fantastically demonstrated for the entire world to watch.)
It’s notable that German CAD software (Vectorworks, aka MiniCAD) is particularly weak, while France and the USA/Canada lead the world in the development of stronger CAD and animation software.
It’s preposterous that finance types (Mitt Romneyb +Warren Buffett for example) were allowed to make so much money simply shipping US heavy industries to China or Mexico. Of course mostly the looters and speculators have been rewarded over the makers for 35 years now in the US–there are some software and computer chip exceptions.
But there may be something that’s been hidden, and it could allow the replacement of things like machine tools–and also replace burning things and the bashing of nuclei for the generation of electricity. And it would clean up a lot of industrial and nuclear pollution.
Now whether the broad general public will be able to benefit from this alchemy remains to be seen. There seems to be a push to destroy first–especially since it fits with some theocratic justifications.
