    Haven’t the America’s been screwed already by Christian Militants hordes. So the Islamic hordes being brought in to finish the job.

    On one side, this reminds me of the struggles of the Calvinists, Huguenots, et al, who were ‘marooned’ within often-hostile religious communities. Were they the ‘good guys’? History repeats itself…

    On the other hand, secular countries became secular for a reason. Division of church and state, for better or ill. Religious-based law within a secular-state is almost an oxymoron. And, once rooted, it allows religious-based passions to become ‘state’ law. (I’d like to see what resulted in/from general Canada when the first woman is stoned/acid-ed or the first thief’s hand is cut off…)

    Just like neo-Nazis ‘peacefully’ marching en-masse down an urban street, there are certain things which are theoretically-allowed in a ‘free’ country, but are truly a bad idea in practice…
