THE LATEST SCAM FROM REPUBLITHUGS TO FORCE GENETIC TESTS ON EMPLOYEES

A few days ago I blogged about the "fine print" of a well-known DNA-testing service that does DNA tests to determine people's "ancestry." Lo and behold, what emerged from that "service's" fine print was, by submitting to a test, one actually consents to that company's ownership of one's DNA, without said "service" having to pay a royalty for using one's DNA. The individual requesting such a test may die, but the company's ownership of his or her DNA continues... forever, or, at least as long as the company continues. And like all companies, that DNA becomes an asset, which it in turn may sell, lease, or assign to other companies, and so on.

With that context in mind, consider this story, shared by Mr. B. H.:

Now, like all scams that corrupt and crooked politicians dream up to enrich corporations, this one has a euphemistic "selling" point; they're calling it "workplace wellness":

A little-noticed bill moving through Congress would allow companies to require employees to undergo genetic testing or risk paying a penalty of thousands of dollars, and would let employers see that genetic and other health information.

Giving employers such power is now prohibited by legislation including the 2008 genetic privacy and nondiscrimination law known as GINA. The new bill gets around that landmark law by stating explicitly that GINA and other protections do not apply when genetic tests are part of a “workplace wellness” program.

The bill, HR 1313, was approved by a House committee on Wednesday, with all 22 Republicans supporting it and all 17 Democrats opposed. It has been overshadowed by the debate over the House GOP proposal to repeal and replace the Affordable Care Act, but the genetic testing bill is expected to be folded into a second ACA-related measure containing a grab-bag of provisions that do not affect federal spending, as the main bill does.

The two-step shuffle here has been, from a certain diabolical Hegelian point of view, brilliantly conceived and executed: first, "Obamacare" was dreamed up in so-called "conservative" think tanks, then the Dummycrooks passed the disaster, and everyone (save perhaps the perpetually idiotic Nancy Pelosi)  knew it would be a disaster, especially for the American middle class; but then the Dummycrooks played "good guy" and "protected" our genetic privacy and ownership; but then the Republithugs took over and "fixed the mess", and in the process, extend the "voluntary" provisions of Obamacare to the point that the privacy protections are no longer there.

The net result has always been, in my opinion (and in my high octane speculation of the day), the real goal of any government "health care" system: the goal is to harvest the wealth of the individual, and ultimately, via government controls and regulations over the very issues of life itself, to own your life, your DNA, your decisions, everything. It's slavery, and no accident that it was a certain political party with historical ties to that abominable institution, that shoved the mess down our throats. And it's no accident that the perpetually gutless Republithugs are accomplices after the fact in extending it, now, to your DNA. Getting rid of those privacy protections all along was always the goal; ownership of you has always been the goal.

And... wait for it... in order to perpetually monitor your "workplace wellness," eventually they will force you to take a chip(and it will come with lots of other "features" too).

So, unless you want that future, it's time, once again, to just say "no" to the whole enterprise, and to make sure that your representatives know you're saying No.

See you on the flip side...

You’re looking at this in short term glasses…Of course they want to ‘legally’ own the DNA. That way they can clone.. either organs or full body clones.. and the ‘product’ will essentially be THEIR legal property.
Just look at Monsanto putting the legal precedent in place..

Now.. look at the recent ‘breakthroughs’ in chimeric DNA manipulation… well.. recently re-discovered.. I’m willing to put money on.. they didnt let the humanpig embryo develop..(publicly at least..) because of ownership and legal issues over the human dna used.. As soon as the person dies.. Start using the DNA to mix and splice with Neaderthals, and those super solders will be owned by Ancestry.com… (ironic no?)

how long before the police have mobile dna testers giving on the fly results.
that is what is now being rolled out in Australia for highway patrols, testing for drugs… like cannabis partaken of weeks ago… but fortunately there is a switch on them that they have off for testing cocaine… banksters drug of choice. (and what they had a 15 year old July Garland on somewhere under the Aquarian Conspiracy).
DNA computers and IBM (Israehell) inside? nadda!
I should I ever meet and advanced civilisation to ask, how did you make it thus far and where are all the scary monsters surely?

Perhaps they are looking for particular genetics that can operate ancient technology. This notion has been telegraphed to the general public via science fiction like Stargate: SG1.

However, these political vampires can take such a database and create both genetic weapons and also new diseases to target those who possess certain genetic sequences. Then they can create new ‘genetic healthcare solutions’ to drain the newly afflicted of all of their wealth not to mention their actual health.

I am of the mind that ‘control’ cannot explain the never-ending Push for genetic material. I am of the opinion that they are Looking for someone/something. Whether it is ‘missing’ genetic parts to reassemble a true Anunnaki (bring back ‘god’) or for supersoldiers or to identify aliens/outsiders in our midst or to ‘tease out’ psychics, the drumbeat for DNA material is just too strong.

None of this would be happening without the Push originating from the deepest levels. All the other mini-players are playing their parts (and may make a profit from it), but what do the Real Players want from our DNA?

I for one look forward to our next Tower of Babel moment. In them meantime I will cultivate ancient epigenetic techniques to constantly alter my DNA to stay one step ahead of these alien hunters. Yesterday I stared so long at a flower that I actually became the flower. When I went to the convenience store later that day to get my lottery tickets, several people told me I looked pretty and I smelled like flowers. Several bees followed me all the way home.

VB, I actually had an inexplicable ‘incident’ similar to your (presumed comic) flower gazing:

A decade ago, I noticed a strawberry field had been opened-up for public picking toward the end of the harvest season (u-pay). Going down the rows, a strawberry inexplicably made its way into my mouth. (Yum!) Well, there was a Shift and I ‘felt’ redness, sweetness, contentment, and – no way other than to say it – like a strawberry! (Insert jokes here.)

I never had this happen before, and it was shocking while Cool. Whether this was a form of synesthesia or empathy to the max, we have unlooked-for capabilities in us. (Think of this as a bright-side response to all the negativity around us…)

“the real goal of any government “health care” system: the goal is to harvest the wealth of the individual, and ultimately, via government controls and regulations over the very issues of life itself, to own your life,”

Odd, national health in the UK doesn’t work that way and that’s wholly government run.

And Medicare in Canada and the USA’s version doesn’t work that way.

So there be a “confusion” between government run medical, and corporate run medical the last favored by the likes of Paul Ryan, with ObamaCare somewhere to the right of Medicare.

Of course ObamaCare was set up to maintain corporate power, very little to do with government run health care, or insurance.

    • Phil the Thrill on June 5, 2017 at 9:43 am

The US government is a corporation, Lost. Our so-called “representatives” are the officers serving on the board of directors of this privately owned, for-profit corporation.
It would be nice, Lost, if one of these days you actually stuck around to defend your “points” when someone questions you on them.

    • OrigensChild on June 5, 2017 at 10:57 am

Not according to the ACA bill itself. You’re focusing on the social benefits and the funding mechanism only. There is far more to this issue than simply social benefits and funding. You don’t need 2,000+ pages for those. So, what could they be hiding within it?

The ACA bill proposes a whole infrastructure of control at the federal level who will determine all healthcare related policy. Statist and Corporate fascists wanted this to be absorbed into a bureaucracy (like the EPA) so they can continue their political and financial statesmanship with their citizens and employees and wash their hands of any liabilities for treatment options. One you read this bill you get a very different sense of what these two diverse sets of people have in common. The proposed fixes to the US healthcare system are all bureaucratic in nature. This bureaucracy absolves both Congress and the judiciary from responsibility when the system fails. This bill provides for a huge transfer of marketing, medical management, provider recruiting and payment mechanisms, healthcare records and information, quality of life issues, funding and transparency from the individual and private sector to public committee for oversight. Because these bureaucracies are governmental, this change insulates corporations since they are now following policies and laws. You have 2000 pages of “controls” that will require whole libraries of policies and procedure and and several armies of experts to administer. Does this plan sound attractive to you?

Lost, honestly, this is a healthcare bill that would make Martin Bormann green with envy! His department of healthcare policy would be here studying this system to determine whether they can find ideas for improving their own efficient system of quality care. That thought is truly frightening!

The only thing HR 1313 has for it is it’s length. But it, too, gives the US government far more access and control over the genetic information of our population. Herr Bormann is now stamping his feet in absolute glee over recent developments here. Finally, his fascist proteges are getting their act together. With full access to everyone’s DNA profile they will immediately know who his genetic enemies and friends are–and be able to mitigate any potential threat either may pose against his policies. Bormann’s only regret is his people didn’t have the technologies available to implement such a scheme during the Reich years in Germany’s glory years. Yet his legacy is alive and well in the grand Divided States of the Confabulary.

      • Phil the Thrill on June 5, 2017 at 12:15 pm

Thank you, OC. In the wording of the bill itself, the HHS Secretary is given discretionary power in the literally hundreds of times the bill mentions the Secretary “may” do this or that, in addition to the hundreds of times the HHS “shall” have the power to do this or that. Discretionary power, as in construing and constructing the “law” as the HHS deems fit.
You may notice that your logical, sensible comment has shooed Lost away; it’s almost as if “Lost” simply posts his or her nonsense as bait to get conscientious types like us to respond. Yet I go for the bait anyway, in hope that Lost will alleviate my suspicions and actually participate in a dialog instead of dropping nonsense and then getting….Lost.

        • OrigensChild on June 5, 2017 at 1:07 pm

Thank you, Phil. Honestly, everyone I know who actually read the bill walked away from it quickly. Some of my liberal friends were shocked! “This is not a healthcare finance bill. It is a government oversight jobs program over an industry which places citizen’s healthcare information into the hands of a central committee for human resource management. All we wanted was affordable healthcare.”

          • Phil the Thrill on June 5, 2017 at 1:53 pm

I’ll go ya one better, OC. All I want is freedom from disease, which appears to be an artificial condition imposed upon me by the powers that wanna be. I understand that 95-6% of my DNA appears to be deliberately short-circuited. What an AWESOME creature I would be if those connections were rewired, eh? Of course, my wife thinks I’m full of enough vinegar as I am, so…..

        • Robert Barricklow on June 5, 2017 at 3:21 pm

“Private” derives from Latin privtus, meaning restricted, as in privilege, and privare, “to deprive” and indeed, “to rob”, and in prevaricate.
          = Kleptocracy.
Starting with the enclosure of the commons depriving peasants of their land rights and means of subsistence, driving them into the cities as “loom-fodder”.
          Now, DNA fodder =
