In my opinion, both of the cited articles and many other items are related through the upcoming Russian presidential election. This ‘contest’ will take place on 18 March 2018, and Putin is almost certain to win by an overwhelming margin (providing he is still alive).
The PTB are probably terrified of the ‘mandate’ that such a win will give Putin. Plus, Putin may see this upcoming term as his last chance to ‘set right’ certain leftovers from the 1990s [email protected] of Russia. The Russian ‘Fed’ may be the first to go, along with what The Saker calls the “Atlantic Supremacist” faction.
So, I would see the next four months as a time of increasing ‘tensions’ as the PTB tries to work-out preemptive ways to neuter Putin, before the election. Interesting times, indeed…
That’s a very good point regarding the upcoming elections and consequently the ramping up of Russian anti-Western rhetoric (not that it isn’t warranted anyway, I find their restraint remarkable).
Like in the West, this is the season to dangle Big Ideas (and Goebbel’s Big Lies) before the electorate, as much to woo them as to gaslight them. It’s a kind of wish-list and a statement of intentions, and is always rife with scaremongering as well. So looking through that prism, the minister’s statement about possible economic warfare is pure bluster, particularly since it came out of nowhere.
Now building your own Russian internet is just the sort of stick-Uncle-Sam-in-the-eye proposal that will appeal to Russian patriotism, even though it would allow greater state control and surveillance (probably the leading reason for putting it forward, there can be little doubt).
It’s not like the Russians aren’t averse to these sorts of springing these sorts of Trojan Horse initiatives on their serfs — err, voters — either.
Oh boy two weeks to formulate a submission!! … but I didn’t get an email…. no matter, I never fail to deliver.
Putin made the recent comment that all Russian industries and economies should be ready to transition to war footing at a moments notice. Possible this 2nd internet is being used for redundancy and which only allies have access to. Q has talked about the potential need to turn out the lights.
Or
If our hemisphere is hit by EMP, CME, Gamma ray burst or what have you then at least they’ll still have a net in the opposite hemisphere.
Let them eat compet ti tion!
As anyone knows; the Rockefeller-type oligarchs #1 Sin Is Compe ti tion!
And as anyone with any sense/cents knows, a NATION’s sovereignty is based upon her issuing her own currency[as the BRICS either want to and/or want to keep it that way].
Of course, the West has no sovereignty as it was sold-out to the “private” international banking cartel. The corporate fascists are the afraid of a peoples’ currency that is an “open”. A “public” open system that is stronger and healthier than any nefarious “closed” private systems.
Information is currency. Also there is crypto currencies and fiat currencies and currencies backed by gold. There is debt-free currencies and the dreaded devil, compound interests, debt-based currencies.
The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly are trying to capture minds & hearts. These propaganda wars[aka information warfare] are bring out the knifes. A system that kills net neutrality is a tell-tale sign your in some Ugly company[or should I say Bankster occupied territory!!!]
