this is a good article full of an analysis of long term trends.

I sometimes think that climate cult members do not want to hear any facts which would challenge the CO2 presumptions because ‘climate change’ has replaced religion for them and therefore it is heresy to even show facts which disrupt their beliefs. For people with concerns about the environment and the over emphasis on CO2, in order to avoid being burned at the stake, the momentum of the ‘pro-earth’ system of belief needs to be used to help correct their misguided fervor. for example as opposed to a direct attack on the improper value of CO2 in model projections, I have found that focusing an environmental discussion on proven toxicity of some industrial processes, depletion of the fisheries, loss of nutrients in soil, and air quality is a less confrontational when attempting to show that CO2 is not the priority.

I have some hope that the self inflicted energy crisis may result in an increase in a trend towards private micro-grids which may help reduce centralized authoritarian control.

Probably a waste of time stating the obvious, but governments are made up of a number of up-right-simian-types proclaiming they know how to manage food, resources, manufacturing of reuseable products, energy & its procurement, and financing to help regulate commerce. There might be a hint of social stability in there somewhere but in the last analysis it’s likely going to be the People of that government that allows it to prosper. It seems that that is a work in progress wherever one looks. At least, one hopes it is.

Less CO2 in the atmosphere in the past 10,000 years compared to the millions of years before present era might be the real cause of desertification of vast regions of land masses. We know in the past many deserts were not deserts at one time.

It seems that Carbon based life forms are being displaced by Silicon based forms.
