SPACE, THE FINAL FRONTIER: NASA ESTABLISHES PLANETARY DEFENSE OFFICE
2016 looks like this will be a year of some major, though quiet, space-related developments, and some of these developments appear to be kicking off the year, though regular readers here will recall some of them we've been expecting for some time. This article was shared by many readers here, and it does indeed contain some bombshells and a great deal of grist for the mill of high octane speculation:
NASA Opens Planetary Defense Office to Protect Earth from Asteroids
In this article, we note the usual steps in the creation of an entirely new federal agency:
First, establish an office:
NASA has announced the creation of a Planetary Defense Coordination Office (PDCO). Lindley Johnson, NASA's current near-Earth object (NEO) program executive
will lead the newly established office. The PDCO will reside within NASA's Planetary Science Division, in the agency's Science Mission Directorate in Washington, D.C.
Second, make it a "coordination" office liaising with other agencies that actually have functional overlap, until in the capacity as a mere "liaison office" it can no longer be functional, and has to be elevated to the status of an agency. When that happens, the fun will begin, for will it be part of the military establishment, or not? Chances are, the latter, for as many researchers - including NASA follower Richard Hoagland - have pointed out, the original law creating NASA makes it clear that it is a close functionary of the defense department, since national security issues can override its "civilian" and "open" status.
The real grist for the high octane speculation mill comes here, for the Planetary Defense Coordination Office will be responsible for:
- Supervision of all NASA-funded projects to find and characterize asteroids and comets that pass near Earth's orbit around the sun;
- Lead the coordination of interagency and intergovernmental efforts to plan response to any potential impact threats.
- Improve and expand on past efforts with other U.S. federal agencies and departments, such as the Federal Emergency Management
- Continue to assist with the coordination across the U.S. government, including planning for response to an actual impact threat and working in conjunction with FEMA, the Department of Defense, other U.S. agencies, and international counterparts.
- Issue notices of close passes and warnings of any detected potential NEO impacts, based on credible science data.
Now, as many of you pointed out, this is foursquare in alignment with the Rosin Affidavit. For those of you who don't know what the Rosin affidavit is, these were statements made by Dr. Carol Rosin, a professional colleague of the late Dr. von Braun, who disclosed to her that the "plan" for putting weapons in space was first to emphasize the Communist threat, then terrorism, then nations of concern, then asteroids, and then, finally, aliens or, to be more accurate, extra- or non-terrerstrials, the "UFO threat." Notably, the creation of an "inter-governmental" as well as an internal "inter-agency" office, especially one coordinating with FEMA, does indeed invite and suggest some high octane speculations.
Why?
For one thing, such coordination for "planetary defense" against asteroids can easily also be "flipped" into a coordination for planetary defense against "other things." To put it "country simple," the above-quoted list of the new office's mission brief would require little expansion to include planning for planetary emergencies of a rather different sort, like armed invasions, blockades, interference with interplanetary commerce, and so on. And indeed, this is, I strongly suspect, already in view and the real long range goal of the creation of this office.
But again, why do I suspect this?
The emphasis of the article on the presence of FEMA, the Federal Emergency Management Agency, is the clue that much more is going on here than simply asteroids, for FEMA is the agency deeply connected to continuity of government operations and planning. In other words, I suspect that what we're really seeing being created here is less an office of NASA, and more of an office of FEMA, a department within it that plans deeply for "continuity of government problems and operations" having to deal with external planetary threats, be they asteroids or ET's. Ponder the implications of that for a moment. Contintuity of government on the scale of planetary threats, defense against said planetary threats (of any sort)... The implications, financial, geopolitical, and cultural, are deep and profound, and perhaps the best way to highlight the profound and sweeping nature of this story is to consider the first of these, the financial implications, for it means that whatever such infrastructure and financial mechanism as currently exists to deal with these issues, now has to be expanded, and in the expansion, taken public to a certain degree. In other words, all those trillions of dollars since World War Two that I have argued have gone into black research projects and the build-up of a huge and hidden infrastructure (underground definitely, elsewhere perhaps) has reached the point that it is no longer adequate to the emerging needs of public society and "planetary defense" Let that one, too, sink in for a moment. It has to be expanded over the next decades, and this will mean an inevitable public "disclosure" of the existence of that now hidden infrastructure.
Or, to put all this country simply once again, you're watching the creation of an office, one component, of a build up and build out of infrastructure for space activity.

Very provocative and paving the way nicely for all of us to be in such terror of “aliens” that we are willing to sacrifice all by way of blood and treasure so the ‘government’ can send the ‘military’ to wipe out the ‘aliens’.
I am convinced that this coming “interstellar” war that a certain American general warned of long, long ago will be between ordinary humanity and the breakaway civilisation posing as belligerent E.T.’s hellbent on conquering the Earth. What better way to impose their will on the planet! … pretending to be space aliens of whom we are supposed to be scared to death and will not challenge after having been slaughtered and destroyed by them in an invasion.
As for the current governments and their military… they know the only way to get the world economy out of the nearing economic disaster is to put the whole world on a “war footing”. Let a war economy right everything. Get rid of enemies by declaring them “collaborators” and add in some aerial fireworks to get the people afraid, very afraid.

I was talking to someone about an article from the National Enquirer where Emilia Earhart was captured on a spying mission; released after the war; assumed another identity and lived until 1982 in New Jersey; all to keep FDR in good standing, as he couldn’t get her out.

I’ve always thought FEMA had a double meaning, if you get my drift. Their track record for “managing” actual emergencies is deplorable, just ask the people in New Orleans. As far as aliens go, I’ll believe they exist when the land here, even though the odds of them actually existing might be high. The universe is a big place after all.
With current conditions worldwide, the chances of our actually doing any of this appear to be low at the moment. Until we get a grip on what’s happening in the Middle East, get rid of the NeoCons, regain control of our own government, and establish a somewhat peaceful environment on Earth, it’s mostly just pipe dreams, or so it would seem.
Even if something does develop, it will be the global corporations funding it and controlling it for the resources. Who else has that kind of money, certainly not the indebted-to-the-bankers governments of the world. It’s going to take some major changes before any of this will ever come to fruition. Right now it’s more likely something being pushed to keep our attention focused elsewhere while they finish robbing us blind and taking all of our rights away.
Who knows, maybe aliens will land on the White House lawn and say “take me to your leader”; or maybe it will be more like The Day the Earth Stood Still because they don’t care for our warlike ways and how we have treated the Earth.
Time will tell. We are living in interesting times.
Even if aliens were to land they could still be fakes created in a laboratory to fool the planet into surrendering to a fake alien invasion. The new upcoming TV series Colony seems to run with a similar meme. All they would have to do is microwave a few cities and bring down some break away space vehicles armed with break away weapons to cower the masses into surrendering and giving up all their liberties. Parade a few lab created chimeras about giving take over speaches and agenda 21 commands and there you go.

The Russians are set to both price their respective oil in rubles and yuan. Thus, with this and their separate financial system they will be relatively free of the West’s financial straight-jacket; and be free to input their own respective space policies in cooperation, rather than an ipso facto down-your-throat coop.
As the West will certainly consider force; hopefully there will not be a major War. Would it be possible that when the aliens come; it will be to a war-spent planet, with hardly any significant resistance in terms of Technological countermeasures?

A new funding opportunity for an existing military industrial complex organ whose mission is another aspect of the same problem. With every new funding opportunity comes new revenue streams and expenditures, thus increasing the size of the black-hole budget. (One curious thought that occurred to me while writing this? At the top of the list of things requiring adequate emergency response may be to prevent the disclosure of articles and technologies from the black-budget itself.) To prepare for these contingencies you need money and an agency with broad powers… Yes, that giant sucking sound just became larger! This time it can bite!
NASA, well we all know what that stands for, but at least their underwear is showing in certain respects. I think the gist of this story is “forward planning” for the future. And if FEMA is in on the act then something is brewing. It seems like the ET/UFO “issue” has been “coming out” over the last few years, and sooner or later we are going to see through the veil. My guess is that for all the years of cover up, the smell of money will take over from the secrecy.
In my ramblings around the web, several ‘disclosure’ authors have brought-forward ‘contactees’ who say that at least one alien (ET) race has finally gotten tired of endless disclosure delays and has put a ‘date’ line in the sand. Disclose by this date, or ‘we’ will do it for you. Unprovable, but interesting, given this new agency’s creation…
Speaking of Hollywood, I was recently wondering why ‘The X-Files’ was finally brought back, after all this time. Why now? Way back when, it was obvious that the series was ‘ordered’ to divert from it’s original emphasis on ETs and the shadow government, when popular culture took-it-up and ran-with-it. The last ‘movie’ was UGH and definitively meant to put a stake-in-the-heart of the franchise. So, why the revival? Why NOW?
A final tidbit concerns the alleged destruction of several underground bases in recent times. Remember the moderate earthquake in the DC area? Again, we the public will never know if this was a ‘real’ happening, but the coincidental-timing with this new agency’s ‘birth’ is interesting…
Strap all the above together, and we may indeed see the hidden-government coming under ‘siege’. (I use the word ‘siege’ deliberately.) Joseph’s column may show their early, public ‘response’…
Let me add that – on the whole – recent Hollywood portrayals seem to be painting ETs as the baddies. In this regard, I note the soon-to-be-released ‘Independence Day: Resurgence’ (2016).
If the public can be ‘pre-conditioned’ into aliens=bad, then we can all be ‘drafted’ into making defensive weaponry (including ‘our’ UFOs) to keep the Earth ‘independent’ of the bad-old-aliens. Release of advanced technology, but with a ‘twist’. We will still be under the shadow government, of course…

What i thought was interesting about the new Star Wars film was the fact the new death star is a carved out planet/moon (Phobos anyone?) that fuels itself by utilising the power of the sun.

I cant help but think the Star Wars films have been created with insider knowledge, similar to Star Trek. Incidentally, I really enjoyed the latest release. Kylo Rens character really hit the mark although imo his mask should have remained on rather than unveiling himself so as to continue the creepiness for longer.
I saw it too, it was more of a rerun of previous episodes. Given the time they had to come up with a plot, you think they could have done better than reusing previous storylines. The villain wasn’t even that nasty, having not finished his training, how bad could he be. Some woman with no training at all, pretty much kicked his posterior.
Visually it was great, the story not so much so.
Indeed, agree on both counts. It was somewhat of an old storyline with the re-booted Death Star and I’m surprised they didn’t come up with something slightly more unique. You’re right about the lass gaining an accelerated force like strength prior to any training as well. What a pair of picky geeks we are! 😉
My other negative was the First Order’s leader who looked rather like your typical ‘grey’ for my liking which I think showed a lack of imagination. Hollywood seems fixated on this appearance for it’s alien characters – perhaps it’s done on purpose though to plant a few seeds in susceptible minds?!.
All in all though, I did enjoy the ride as the time seemed to fly by. Filming on location helped enormously and the acting was so much better than the emotionless delivery of the prequels.
If memory serves, I believe Van Braun’s order of operation was Communists, Terrorists, Asteroids and then Aliens. Meteors / Asteroids are the ultimate spaced based weapon. At the planet’s current percieved level of technoloty, an asteroid strike is considered an Act of GOD. The meteor that slammed into Russia, IMHO, was a gift from the NE Navy or other Spaced Based military platforms. The biggest problem would be calculating the entry angle, speed, size and density needed to maximize damage in the target area, w/o taking out friendly assets. The Russian meteor hit was expertly engineered.

Something is going on. They seem to be preparing for space conflict, and not with earth based enemies. I recently saw the new Star Wars movie, and all, and I mean all, the previews for upcoming movies were about this very topic in one guise or another. So if Hollywood tells what’s blowing in the wind before the hurricane comes, then this new agency is necessary for the coming conflict. It’s getting scary.
