Mr. D.W. shared this one, and it's so intriguing I have to pass it along:

While I am aware of ‘portals’ in the countryside and time-distortions like around the fabled Avalon, this article seems like a cover-story for a military or intelligence installation added to that tunnel. They had to explain-away the additional construction time, so why not have fun with it? Even a giggle-factor is better than an investigation…

I’m more inclined to think that there are layers of deceit w/in this story[than an actual “time ” anomaly].
Hypnosis, and or other tools being employed?

Can’t say I have ever walked through that one, but there are certain very long pedestrian passageways in the London Underground system that have a creepy feeling, especially if you are alone, your footsteps echo on the floor and the tunnel seems to stretch on interminably (i.e. the subjective sensation of time slows down). Given their usually tubular form, there must be a specific resonance effect, combining with local field conditions.
